CARACTERÍSTICAS SOCIODEMOGRÁFICAS, EPIDEMIOLÓGICAS E MANIFESTAÇÕES CLÍNICAS DA COVID-19 EM PROFISSIONAIS DE ENFERMAGEM:
REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA

Objetivo: Sumarizar evidências relativas às características sociodemográficas e epidemiológicas e às manifestações clínicas da COVID-19 nos profissionais de enfermagem no âmbito mundial. Método: Revisão integrativa realizada entre maio e novembro de 2021, nas plataformas e bases de dados PubMed®, SciELO, Embase, Scopus, Web of Science, Lilacs e BDENF. Questionou-se: “Quais os achados disponíveis na literatura acerca das características sociodemográficas e epidemiológicas e das manifestações clínicas da COVID-19 em profissionais de enfermagem no mundo?" Resultados: Foram inclusos 10 artigos, oito realizados no Brasil, um na Espanha e um em nível mundial. Houve prevalência entre técnicos, com preponderância do sexo feminino e maior risco de adoecimento aos profissionais entre 31 e 40 anos e de morte aos com idade acima dos 41 anos. As maiores taxas de letalidade entre os homens. Conclusões: Tais achados reforçam a necessidade de mais atenção à saúde desses profissionais e avaliação das estratégias adotadas no enfrentamento da doença, preservando a vida de quem exerce a arte de cuidar e evitando o estrangulamento dos serviços de saúde.
