INTERVENÇÕES EDUCATIVAS EM ADOLESCENTES COM RISCO PARA SÍNDROME METABÓLICA: REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA

Objetivo: identificar os tipos de intervenções educativas existentes e ou utilizadas em adolescentes com risco para síndrome metabólica. Método: trata-se de revisão integrativa nas seguintes bases: MEDLINE, CINAHL, Embase, Web of Science e LILACS, BDENF e Ibecs. A busca por referência cruzadas também foi realizada, a partir dos descritores: Adolescent, Health Education, Risk Factors e Metabolic Syndrome. Resultados: dezenove artigos foram identificados, revisados, sintetizados e analisados criticamente, sendo que os tipos de intervenções educativas para público-alvo foram as não medicamentosas e as medicamentosas e ou orientações no estilo de vida. Considerações finais: os resultados da revisão mostraram que as intervenções educativas, sejam elas medicamentosas ou não medicamentosas, associadas às orientações no estilo de vida, demostraram melhorias nos cinco fatores determinantes da síndrome metabólica e em outros não determinantes, influenciando diretamente a saúde e o bem-estar dos adolescentes.
